On April 7, the "Supreme Court" of Crimea will continue the process on the ban on the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. The previous meeting took place on March 17. It was decided to involve the Committee on Interethnic Relations of the occupying government of Crimea in the process.
On February 15, Crimean prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya filed a lawsuit to recognize the Mejlis as an extremist organization . The lawsuit claims that the Mejlis "poses a threat to the foundations of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation, the security of the state and society."
