Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his resignation as Prime Minister of Ukraine. This is reported by Ukrayinska Pravda with reference to his statement.
“I have decided to resign as Prime Minister of Ukraine. On Tuesday, April 12, the decision will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada," quoted him as saying. TASS
“The parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko nominated Volodymyr Groysman (speaker of the Verkhovna Rada – UP) for the post of head of government. Having done everything for the stability and continuity of the course, I declare the decision to transfer the duties of the head of the government of Ukraine, ”said Yatsenyuk.

- In February, an attempt was made in the Verkhovna Rada to pass a vote of no confidence in the government, but it was not possible to collect enough votes to pass such a resolution. At the same time, the deputies of the Ukrainian parliament recognized the results of the government's work as unsatisfactory.
- At the end of March, a new coalition was formed in the Verkhovna Rada, which was reported to have supported the candidacy of Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Groysman for the post of new prime minister. President Petro Poroshenko previously named Finance Minister Natalya Yaresko and Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy as candidates for the role of head of government.
