Anathema threaten Lithuania

Lithuania has adopted the list of Savchenko - Sentsova. As DELFI.LT reports , this was stated by the head of the country's Foreign Ministry Linus Linkyaviyus. It is noted that Lithuania became the first state - a member of the European Union to take such a step.

In the current edition of the list of 46 defendants, said Linkyavichyus. He did not name concrete names, noticing only that Russian officials were included in the list, including judges and prosecutors directly involved in the illegal persecution of the Ukrainian prisoner of war Savchenko and Crimean prisoners Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko. In addition, the minister added, a number of functionaries of the DPR and LPR are included in the list.

All defendants in the list are prohibited from entering Lithuania, said the head of the Foreign Ministry.

He also noticed that the current edition of the document is not final - the list continues to be supplemented.

Linkyavichyus expressed the hope that the act of Vilnius will prompt other EU countries, as well as the European Union as a whole to adopt the lists of Savchenko - Sentsov. “Our goal is the general actions of the Schengen zone,” the minister emphasized.

He added that Lithuania, along with four more EU states, has already offered the European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini to accept such a list on the scale of the entire European Union, but she did not support the initiative. Linkyavichyus, however, noticed that later it would be possible to return to this issue. The head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry also said that the situation with Savchenko is a topic constantly discussed by European diplomats.

On March 30, Savchenko - Sentsova was adopted in Ukraine . By decree of President Petro Poroshenko, sanctions were introduced against 84 persons involved in the persecution of citizens of Ukraine, including Savchenko, Sentsov, Kolchenko, the defendants of the UNA-UNSO case Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh.

Among the defendants in the list were the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the FSB, FSB director Alexander Bortnikov, deputy prospector Viktor Grin, prosecutor of the annexed Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya, head of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky. The list also included judges, investigators, prosecutors, security officials, LPR militants and accusations witnesses who acted on ships over the Ukrainian political prisoners.

The sanctions are introduced indefinitely.
