Zuckerberg announced the appearance of bots in Facebook messenger

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the F8 conference on April 12 announced the creation of a platform for using bots in the social network messenger.

The interface will allow companies to communicate directly with customers - for example, for ordering goods, distributing content or technical support. Bots, according to Zuckerberg, will replace free phone numbers for ordering services.

Among other innovations announced at the conference are an interface that will allow developers to embed the Facebook video broadcast function in applications, an interface that makes it possible to log in to websites through a Facebook account using a phone number, as well as the ability to put short videos from Vine, Boomerang and MSQRD.

In addition, Facebook introduced the design of the Facebook Surround 360 video camera with a 360-degree view. The company itself will not produce the camera - its open source project will be posted on GitHub in the summer.
