Türkiye announced the detention of two "Russian spies"

In Istanbul, two Russians suspected of involvement in the murder of the administrator of the Caucasus Center site, the former Chechen field commander Abdulvahid Edilgeryev. According to Hurriyet, 52-year-old Yuri Anisimov and 55-year-old Alexander Smirnov were detained. In the publication, both detainees are called "alleged spies."

According to the publication, Anisimov and Smirnov prepared a certain exploration. It is reported that the Russians arrived in Turkey on fake passports.

During the search, they also found false certificates of Interpol employees. In addition, they took digital media, which had a large number of photographs that captured parking, hotel rooms, surveillance cameras and autonomer.

There have been no comments on the Turkish authorities regarding the detention of Russians.

Edilgeriev was shot dead on November 1, 2015 not far from his house, when he returned from the mosque from midday prayer. According to the Turkish publication of International Pressmedya, two unknown masks fired at the Chechen commander, who disappeared after the attack.

The Caucasus Center, in turn, claimed that there were three criminals, Edilgeriyev was killed by several shots from a pistol. The gun itself, like the car on which the attackers moved, were found later.

Edilgeriev, also known under the nickname Red, was married to the daughter of Isa Umarov, the half -brother of Movladi Udugov, one of the highest officials of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, who at different times, in particular, the first deputy prime minister, the Minister of Information and Press and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the First Chechen War, Edilgeriev was in the protection of Isa Umarov. Umarov himself, as claimed, is fighting in Syria as part of the detachment of "Imrat Caucasus".
