The judge of the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, Elena Bulgakova, found activist Viktor Kapitonov, who was detained on March 25 with the flag of Ukraine in the Alexander Garden, guilty of violating the procedure for holding a public event and fined him 10,000 rubles. This was reported by the correspondent of the edition "Kasparov.ru".
The police accused Kapitonov of picketing "in a group of two people" near the presidential residence and holding two banners.
Kapitonov, in turn, insisted that he did not hold a picket, but simply walked with friends and unfurled the flag of Ukraine during the walk. Oleg Beznisko, who represented the interests of the detainee, also noted that the detention protocol did not say anything about the confiscated posters and that there was no evidence that there were several picketers.
