The case of Dmitry Demushkin was sent to court

The Department of the Investigative Committee of Moscow sent to the court for consideration on the merits the materials of the criminal case against nationalist Dmitry Demushkin on inciting hatred, RAPSI reports citing the department. Demushkin was charged under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).

“I was left with one episode under Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia. We are talking about a banner from the Russian March, the slogan on which was considered extremist. I was the leader of this event, so the case was brought against me. I face up to four years in prison,” Demushkin told Kasparov. Ru".

Demushkin noted that he sent a statement to the Investigative Committee, in which he asked to initiate a case against the policemen who missed this banner.

Earlier it was reported that the investigation charged Demushkin with posting five pictures on social networks, including the image of Alexander III with his quote, as well as several more slogans, including the image of a banner from the Russian March. According to Oleg Kolesnikov, Demushkin's lawyer, an examination conducted in Chuvashia found extremism in the images.
