The suspects in the murder of nurses planned to join the separatists of the DPR, LPR or the French Foreign Legion

The St. Petersburg garrison military court took into custody three servicemen suspected of murdering two nurses at St. Petersburg military hospital No. 442, reports . Interfax

The suspects - 19-year-old contract employee of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexander Tomsky, 18-year-old conscript soldier David Ziganshin and 18-year-old freshman of the Mozhaisky Military Space Academy Stepan Datsenko - were arrested for two months, until June 12.

In court, the investigator said that the three murder suspects acted together: Tomsky and Ziganshin were supposed to kill the nurses on duty, Datsenko was supposed to give them knives for this. According to investigators, Tomsky and Ziganshin strangled one nurse and killed the other with Datsenko’s knives, which he brought from the institution’s canteen. In addition, according to investigators, Ziganshin removed jewelry from one of the killed people, which the employees and the cadet then planned to sell.

From the case materials it follows that the suspects planned to flee to the territory of Ukraine: such a plan was proposed by Datsenko. According to the protocol of his interrogation, which was read by judge Igor Korinevsky, the young people tried to escape from the hospital because they were afraid of criminal liability for faking mental illness. In particular, military personnel and cadets were going to go to the east of Ukraine, to the territories controlled by the DPR and LPR, to participate in hostilities on the side of the separatists, or to go to France to join the French Legion.

He opened a criminal case against the young people under Articles 105 of the Criminal Code (murder), 161 of the Criminal Code (robbery) and 338 of the Criminal Code (desertion). The announcement has not yet been presented to them.

Suspects of the murder of two nurses were detained on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 12, in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region. Presumably, they tried to cross the border with Finland near the village of Storozhevoye. The young people were in the psychiatric ward of a military hospital.
