On April 14, the Supreme Court of Crimea canceled the second ruling of Judge Galina Redko dated March 4, which illegally extended the arrest of the defendants in the “February 26 Case,” Akhtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermendzhi, without a court hearing. “The court agreed with the arguments of the appeal and overturned the judge’s ruling,” he said.
Earlier, the panel of judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea also overturned the decision of Judge Galina Redko dated March 2, declaring it illegal.
At the moment, the accused remain in custody. In February of this year, it turned out that the indictment was drawn up with violations that did not allow a subsequent verdict to be passed, and the court decided to return the case back to prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya. Poklonskaya did not agree with this decision and sent an appeal to the court, which was rejected.
