The court fined the imam three thousand rubles for publishing the film “Miracles of the Koran”

As it became known on April 13, the Chapaevsk City Court in the Samara Region, on February 29, 2016, fined Ilgar Huseynov, the imam of the Mirmamed Mosque prayer house, under Article 20.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials) three thousand rubles.

The court found him guilty of an administrative offense for posting on the community page "Islam in Chapaevsk 2011" on the social network "VKontakte" the film "Miracles of the Koran", which was recognized as extremist by the Nefteyugansk City Court on April 7, 2011 and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials under the number 873.

According to the Information and Analytical Center "Sova", the film "Miracles of the Koran" was unlawfully recognized as extremist. However, Russian courts have repeatedly punished citizens for distributing it.
