American Marina Lonina, who broadcast the girl’s rape in Periscope, threatens more than 40 years in prison

An 18-year-old girl with a Russian name and her boyfriend, who are suspected of kidnapping and rape, were arrested in the state of Ohio in the United States. Moreover, the abuse was shot on camera and led online broadcasting through the Periscope application. Now the accused faces several decades of imprisonment.

Marina Alekseevna Lonina and her 29-year-old beloved Raymond Boyd Gates are suspected of a cynical crime, reports Franklin Ron O'Brien, the Columbus Dispatch prosecutor.

According to the police, on the night of February 27, 2016, Marina and Reimond attacked her 17-year-old girlfriend after a joint drink of alcohol. The girl was forcibly held, and Gates raped her. Marina shot sexual bullying on the video, which was distributed on the Internet through the Periscope program.

One of the friends of Lonina, living in another state, saw a shocking broadcast and informed the police about it. After that, the alleged rapists were arrested. Marina and Reimond are facing a punishment of imprisonment for more than 40 years.

Also, during the investigation begun, it turned out that in the evening before the attack, Marina photographed the victim in a naked form. This episode will also be part of the charges.

So far, investigators have not been able to establish how many people looked on the Internet broadcast of rape.

According to the prosecutor O'Brien, in the Franklin district this is the first case of a video broadcast of a crime on the Internet.
