The order of the Department of Culture of Moscow "On the Organization of the Movement of Library No. 183" was issued on April 14. But they do the contrary, ” Natalya Ozornova’s employee shrugs his hands.

The Investigative Committee appeared in a building on Stroitelov Street about a year and a half ago.

- Rumors about eviction have been going on for a long time. Some incomprehensible people even came here, they watched the layout. Our neighbors are engaged in, like, crimes in the field of culture, and they probably liked the premises, ”complains Victoria Borisova , the factory of cultural programs.

According to Victoria, every weekday in the library took place cultural events - either concerts, then reading. A computer literacy circle for the elderly worked here. In total, the library contains about thirty thousand readers. Now all equipment is gradually exporting employees of the centralized library department in the South -Western Administrative Directorate. In a few hours, amateur comics were also taken out, drawn based on the "Divine Comedy".

Societies, bearing the name of Dante Aligieri, existed in Russia before the revolution. In the mid -nineties in library No. 183, which by that time was already forty years old, they decided to develop contacts with the Italian cultural centers: they exchanged books, held cross events, arranged days of Italian culture, etc. So in 2007, the library received the name of Dante Aligieri.

“Well, now the year of literature ( Decree of the Government in 2015 was declared the year of literature. - RS ) is over, you can throw books and close the libraries,” Irina Evstigneeva shrugs. - We had the largest amount of books in foreign languages in our library, if you look at the district libraries. In the "Foreigner" more, of course, but still.

- We have unique books here - we collected them for 60 years. It was organized when this area was just settled. After all, we have a scientific area - universities, many schools with a foreign language. And these schools took books and prepared their students on them. We have free language courses here for the elderly ... And our neighbors - well, the Investigative Committee, this is not only the cameras, ”says the librarian of Natalya Kosolapova , smiling. - We will have neither cameras nor torture in our room, people will work. But the area without a library will remain.
