Unacceptable khanate

The TFR completed the investigation in the case of extremism, excited against the Tatar writer Aydar Halim. This was reported by the group "Agora" with reference to Rausetia Kamalov, a writer's lawyer. In the near future, the prosecutor's office must approve the indictment, after which the case will be on court.

The 74-year-old Khalim, a resident of Naberezhnye Chelny, is charged with part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (excitement of hatred by national basis), which provides for the four years of the colony. The reason for the initiation of the case was the writer's performance on October 11, 2014 in the Tatar capital at a rally on an annual memory day dedicated to the defenders of the Kazan Khanate, who died in 1552 when Russia was captured.

According to the plot of the case, in his speech, Halim allowed some emotional statements to the “group of persons distinguished by the signs of nationality (Russians),” mentioning Vladimir Putin.

Meanwhile, Kamalova denies the presence of his client’s intent to insult the representatives of any nationality and incitement of enmity.

In October 2015, the co -chair of the All -Tatar Public Center (WEC) Renat Nurgali announced the initiation of the case against Halim in October 2015. As the activist wrote, the writer under escort was taken to Kazan for interrogation. Nurgali nevertheless claimed that on the same day the case was closed according to the amnesty. How his information correlates with the current message of Kamalova, the "faces" are not known.

On October 21, 2015, in Elabug, the security forces illegally thwarted the meeting of WTOC activists with Halim, who came to present his new book. The meeting participants, with the exception of the writer himself and other older people, were detained. Later on the same day, however, everyone was released without drawing up protocols.

Halim is a native of Bashkiria. Previously, he wrote not only in his native Tatar, but also in the Bashkir language. The author of several dozen books of poems and prose, a number of dramatic works. Acts as a publicist.

In 1997-2001, Khalim headed the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Tatar people. The current head of Milli Majlis, writer Fausia Bayramova, who also lives in Naberezhnye Chelny, has already received two conditional terms under part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code.

Another Naberezhnye Chelninsky activist, the chairman of the local branch of TOC Rafis Kashapov, was sentenced to three years of general regime under the same part of Article 282, as well as in part 2 of article 280.1 (public calls for separatism via the Internet). It is contained in the EPT - internal prison - IK -31 in the city of Mikun, Komi.
