The Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs supported the idea to place the image of the Grozny mosque named after Akhmat Kadyrov "Heart of Chechnya" on the banknote of 200 rubles. The ministry also approved a proposal to place an image of Derbent on the 2000 ruble note.

“This initiative is timely and necessary to continue building a positive image of the region's cities,” said Odes Baysultanov, Deputy Minister for North Caucasus Affairs.

“Derbent is an open-air museum of centuries-old history. Its uniqueness is recognized at the international level, and the Naryn-Kala citadel is included in the number of world cultural monuments protected by UNESCO. Grozny can also rightfully claim to be depicted on Russian banknotes as a symbol of the revival and prosperity of our country,” Baisultanov said.
