An entertainment event was canceled in Novosibirsk due to claims from representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church. The quest called "Dante's Inferno" was supposed to take place at the Museum of World Funeral Culture on April 16.
The cancellation of the quest was reported by one of its participants (tickets were purchased in advance, the cost is from 600 rubles). This information was confirmed by the organizers, without specifying the reason. On the page of the event on the social network VKontakte, it is indicated that Dante's Inferno has been postponed to another date with a change of venue - "for reasons beyond our control."
According to the Sibkray.ru portal, the organizers were warned about the impossibility of holding the quest at the last moment. An informed source said that the Museum of Funeral Culture (located in the Memory Park of the Novosibirsk Crematorium), which acted as a partner of the event and provided its premises for its holding, was "banned" from participating in the project by the prosecutor's office and the Russian Orthodox Church.
