
The Kiev District Court of Simferopol, controlled by Russia, arrested new defendants in the second Crimean case of Hizb Ut-Tahrir Arsen Dzhepparov and Refat Alimov for two months, until June 18. Such information is reported by the "Center for Journalistic Investigations" with reference to observers of the field human rights center.
Jepparov refused to cooperate with the investigation, human rights activists said. They also reported that since the detention of the Police, they did not feed.
Regarding Alimov, observers noticed that he was suffering from kidney stones, which the detainee's mother stated at the trial. However, the mother’s statement did not affect the decision of the judge.
Dzhepparov and Alimov - residents of the village of Krasnokamenka (Kyzyltash) within Yalta. Both were detained on Monday morning after the searches. On February 11, in the Crimean case, Hizb Ut -Tahrir was detained by a fellow villager Alimov and Jepparov - Enver Bekirov . He was also charged with article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code. The next day, the Kiev District Court of Simferopol, controlled by Russia,arrested Bekirov and three more detained on the eve of the defendants in the case: Muslim Aliyev, Muslim Ukrainian Vadim Siruk and the famous Crimean Tatar human rights activist Emir-Usein Kuku. All four are contained in SIZO-1 in Simferopol. In early April, they extended the arrest until June 8.
Last year, the Hizb Ut-Tahrir case was fabricated in Sevastopol. On December 10, 2015, the Crimean head of the FSB said that the investigation was completed on it . Part 1 of Article 205.5 (organization of the terrorist organization), Rustem Vaitov, Nuri Primov and Frat Saifullaev - part 2 of the same article (participation in the activities of such an organization) was charged with Ruslan Zeytullaev. Working builders Zeytullaev, Vaits and Primov have remained in jail since January 2015, Saifullaev since April 2015.
