Poroshenko: Savchenko’s liberation algorithm managed to coordinate

Presidents of Ukraine and Russia Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin agreed on the algorithm for the liberation of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko. The head of the Ukrainian state said this during a joint briefing with Prime Minister Denmark Lars Rasmussen, reports 112.ua.

"I have repeatedly stated that I am ready to use all the levers that are at my disposal as the President of Ukraine, for the speedy return of Nadezhda Savchenko and other citizens of Ukraine to his homeland and I emphasize that when it comes to human life, you need to discard any policy and ensure an early return. That is why I initiated this conversation with Putin. that we managed to coordinate a certain algorithm for the liberation of hope, ”Poroshenko said.

“Today I will meet with my mother of hope and sister, I will be given the relevant instructions to the Ministry of Justice in order to work out other mechanisms. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and this difficult work, I think, should end as soon as possible with the return of hope of home. At least I noted that I was ready to send the presidential aircraft with my representatives to take hope home and return it to Ukraine as soon as possible,” - noted the president.

Also, according to him, some progress was achieved on the liberation of other Ukrainians held in Russia. “According to the results of yesterday’s conversation, some shifts in the issue of liberation and other Ukrainian citizens are possible, in particular, I raised the issue of the critical state of health of Yuri Soloshenko and Gennady Afanasyev, and I also hope that the Russian side will demonstrate a certain progress. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose the information,” the President of Ukraine said.
