A court in Simferopol arrested two alleged supporters of Hizb ut-Tahrir

The Kiev District Court of Simferopol arrested for two months two alleged supporters of the terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, recognized in Russia, who were detained the day before.

As reports with reference to the press service of the Crimean prosecutor's office, Arsen Dzhepparov and Refat Alimov are charged with Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization). RIA Novosti

The arrest of Yalta residents Dzhepparov and Alimov was announced the day before by the prosecutor of the republic, Natalya Poklonskaya. According to the Center for Investigative Journalism, the age of those arrested is 23-24 years old.

In February 2016, FSB officers detained four alleged Hizb ut-Tahrir members from Yalta and Alushta. A case was also opened against them under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code - about organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and participating in it.
