
Today, April 20, the prosecutor's office of the Central Administrative District of Moscow sent a criminal case to the Criminal case of the actor-acting artist Peter Pavlensky to the Meshchansky District Court on the arson of the FSB door in Lubyanka.
According to the website of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation , Pavlensky is accused under Part 1 of Art. 243 of the Criminal Code (damage to the identified object of cultural heritage).
“According to the inquiry, on the night of November 9, 2015, Pavlensky doused the front door of the main building of the FSB of Russia from the canister with gasoline, located at the address: st. Myasnitskaya d. 1, relating to the object of cultural heritage "building of the NKVD -KGB of the USSR, 1940–1947, arch. A.V. Shchusev ”, after which he was detained by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Meshchansky District of Moscow,” the prosecutor's office said.
The artist himself called his action “threat”, explaining that “Lubyanka’s burning door is a glove that society throws into the face of a terrorist threat,” in his opinion, emanating from the FSB.
On November 10, the Tagan court arrested Pavlensky for 30 days, later the term of detention was repeatedly extended. On January 27, the artist was aimed at a forensic psychiatric examination at the State Scientific Center for Social and Forensic Psychiatry named after V.P. Serbsky, February 20, he was transferred to the Moscow Investigative District Botyrka.
