According to the site of the center of Sergey Kuroikhin , this is the first major exhibition of a German artist in Russia.

Rosemary Trodel (b. 1952) studied at the Higher School of Applied Arts in Cologne, represented Germany at the Venice Biennale in 1999, and in 1997 and 2012 participated in Documenta exhibitions in Kassel.

In his works, Trocel builds a context based on an interdisciplinary approach to reflecting the art of the modern world. The artist often resorts to mixing high and low, to the movement of accents and overthrowing values. Making paintings from woolen yarn with a knitting machine, Trocel takes parodies to the stamps of contemporaries consciousness about gender stereotypes or on the role of a housewife for the level of criticism of large stylistic formations, such as pop art and neo-geo.

The artist experiments a lot with artistic forms: in different years, she made amateur films, photographed, created sculptures, wrote portraits, made drawings, photo collages and installations.
