As reported on the website of the New Holland , work on the restoration and adaptation of the historical corps of former warehouses, which will be held in stages until the restoration in 2025, will continue in parallel. The island will never close again, including in winter.
The opening program will be announced in July 2016.
In connection with the successful holding of the Summer in New Holland in previous years, the project investors decided to abandon the construction of a new building on the island and instead organize a full -fledged city park with the necessary infrastructure.
According to the General Plan of Restoration, developed by the Dutch company West 8 , at the first stage, the following works were completed in two years:
The second stage of restoration and adaptation is planned to be completed in 2019. It includes the restoration of the building of the building of Corps No. 12 and the improvement of the surrounding area with an area of more than 15,000 sq.m, located on the Kryukovo Canal, from the side of labor area.
