Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin agreed to become chairman of the Council of the Strategic Development Center Foundation. This was reported by RBC with reference to the most former official.
The president of the fund will be another person, Kudrin added. Who exactly will be the president will be determined in the coming days.
On April 11, RBC wrote with reference to a source in the presidential administration that Kudrin would write a new economic program for Vladimir Putin . It was claimed that the former official discusses with Putin "a formal opportunity to write a program outside the government." The preparation of the program can be conducted on the basis of the Center for Strategic Development, the publication reported, but for this, Kudrin may take one of the leading positions in the fund.
On April 16, Putin welcomed Kudrin's intention to work in the CSR, as well as at the Presidential Expert Council for Economics. The form of cooperation by Kudrin with the government is satisfied with both parties, the head of state noted.
CSR is engaged in consulting. Among his customers are Russian Railways, VTB Capital, the Presidential Office, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Sberbank NPF, SUEK, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. Meanwhile, the funds of the fund for 2012 - the last one, for which the CSR published its reporting, amounted to less than 3 million rubles.
Kudrin, after leaving in the fall of 2011, founded and headed the Committee of Civil Initiatives from the government.
