In Moscow, a criminal case has been brought to court against 48-year-old Sergei Sinelnikov, accused of deliberate destruction of someone else's property by arson, resulting in significant damage (Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on the website of the capital's prosecutor's office.
The incident occurred on the night of October 6, 2015. According to the department, Sinelnikov placed a Molotov cocktail on the hood of an Audi Q5 parked on Leninsky Prospekt. An unidentified person set fire to the bottle and the car was completely burned down. The Audi Q3 and Ford Focus cars that were parked nearby were also damaged.
The amount of damage caused to the owners of these cars is estimated at more than 2.7 million rubles. Sinelnikov fully admitted his guilt, explaining that he committed the crime at the request of a friend. During the investigation, he was under recognizance not to leave the place.
