A resident of the Voronezh region killed his wife's father with a glass ashtray

In the Voronezh region, a criminal case has been brought to court against a 44-year-old resident of the Talovsky district, who is accused of causing grievous bodily harm, with the reconciliation of objects used as weapons, resulting in death by negligence (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

The investigation established that on January 28, the man drank alcohol with his wife’s 79-year-old father. They quarreled, and the pensioner threw a glass ashtray at his son-in-law, hitting him in the hand. Angry, the man took the ashtray and hit his father-in-law on the head several times.

The pensioner was taken to Bobrovsk hospital with a closed head injury. Two days later he died in intensive care.

During the investigation, the man admitted his guilt. Now he faces up to 15 years in prison.
