The territorial election commission of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region canceled the elections in Barvikha, which were scheduled for April 24. This was announced at a meeting of the commission by its chairman Alexander Ignatov. The decision to cancel the elections was taken at the request of the CEC.
Earlier, CEC head Ella Pamfilova called for the immediate abolition of early voting in Barvikha. It was noted that new elections should be held within six months. The day before, the CEC sent materials to the Prosecutor General's Office on complaints about violations during early voting in Barvikha.
