Brent oil price exceeded $45 per barrel

The price of North Sea Brent oil on the London ICE exchange on April 20 exceeded $45 per barrel. As of 20:37 Moscow time, it is trading at $45.46 per barrel.

American oil WTI on April 20 rose in price to 43.82 dollars per barrel.

The last time Brent oil cost more than $45 per barrel was in December 2015.

• At the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016, world oil prices accelerated their fall, dropping below $30 per barrel. In this regard, the Russian government discussed the possibility of adjusting the budget for 2016, calculated on the basis of the average annual price of Urals oil (calculated from the price of Brent) at $50 per barrel. In April, it was decided to postpone changes to the budget until autumn.
