The Other Russia activist Andrei Popko was detained in Voronezh. The press secretary of the unregistered party, Alexander Averin , writes on Twitter that Popko was taken to the police department of the Central District of the city for a “conversation”.
Popko and another Other Russia activist Alexander Kurkin recently returned from Latvia, where they were charged with terrorism and espionage for an action in June 2015 with the flag of the colors of the St. George ribbon at the NATO military base in Adazi. Later, the charge was reclassified as an article on hooliganism, and the measure of restraint for Popko and Kurkina, who were in custody, was changed, after which they were able to leave Latvia. However, immediately upon their arrival in Moscow by bus from Riga, they were also detained and taken to the Alekseevsky police station for a conversation, after which they were released.
