"Every era has not only a typical hero, but also a key question by which this era can be judged. Well, for example: what is happening? Who is to blame? What to do? To be or not to be?

Such a question for a scientific observer of the era is like the key rate of the Central Bank for financial markets. Actually, in order to begin to describe an era, we must first of all correctly pose and formulate its main question. To which there is often no real-time response. The answer may arise only later, in the next era.

The question of our time: when will it all end? Moreover, almost no one (more precisely, no one at all from people I know, at least in absentia) can determine what “this” is that must end, and what is the main, indispensable sign of the undeniably accomplished end.”
