In Istanbul, police, together with employees of the National Intelligence Organization, detained the 27-year-old Russian citizen Makharby Isaev, who arrived in Turkey to kill the emigrants from Chechnya living in the country. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" with reference to the Saturday publication of Milliyet.

Isaev was detained in the hotel room in the city center. In Istanbul, he spent about a week. During the search, the Russian was seized with documents, some digital equipment, as well as a 7.65 millimeter caliber gun.

According to the "Caucasian knot", a man with such a name, patronymic, surname and the same year of birth was detained by security forces in the Vedensky district of Chechnya on September 18, 2012. According to law enforcement agencies of the region, Maharbi (another spelling of the name - Magarby) Isaev was on the federal wanted list and "was the Amir of the Bandgrappa for eight years." Amir "Bandgruppe" was called Isaev and the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. How the detainee became Amir at the age of 15, neither Kadyrov nor his security forces explained.

It was also argued that Isaev testified, thanks to which the Kadyrovites established the whereabouts of the Mujahideen from the detachment of Muslim Gakayev. Already on September 20, 2012, four alleged members of this detachment were killed during the operation of the security forces.

Meanwhile, any information about Isaev has not been received since then.

On April 8, in Istanbul , two Russians suspected of involvement in the murder of the Caucasus Center Administrator Abdulvahid Edilgeriev were detained . According to Hürriyet, it was about the 52-year-old Yuri Anisimov and 55-year-old Alexander Smirnov. It was reported that the detainees arrived in the country on fake passports and prepared a certain exploration there. During the search, the Russians, among other things, found false certificates of Interpol employees.

Later it became known that the documents in the name of Smirnov were used by the Chechen criminal authority Valid Lurahmaev (nickname Validol). It was alleged that Lurakhmaev was involved in the murder of the commander of the Chechen special forces "Highlander" by Movladi Baysarov, completely in Moscow in November 2006.

According to the statistics of the "Caucasian Knot", over the past four and a half years in Turkey, four Chechen emigrants have been killed. On September 16, 2011, in the Istanbul mosque, Berg-Khizh Musaev, Rustam Altemirov and Zaurbek Amriev, put on the international wanted list at the Domodedovo Airport in January of the same year were shot in the Istanbul mosque. The fourth victim became Edilgeria, in addition to working in the Caucasus Center, also known as a former field commander. He was shot from a pistol on November 1, 2015 in Istanbul.
