The family of the Syrian Kurdish Khasan Akhman Abdo, who left the fighting zone to Russia, received a temporary asylum for a year with the possibility of extension at the Federal Migration Service in the Tver region. This was reported by Medusa with reference to the lawyer of the project "Migration and Law" Rosa Magomedov, who represented the interests of refugees.

For more than two months upon arrival in Russia - from September 10 to November 20, 2015 - Hassan, his wife Gulistan Shao Isa and four children aged 3 to 13 years spent in the transit zone of the Moscow Airport Sheremetyevo . The case was opened against them under part 1 of Article 30 - Part 322 of the Criminal Code (preparation for illegal crossing of the border). Refugees who were heading to Samara, where the sister of Gulistan lives, drove into the country on genuine Russian visas, but these visas were received not in Syria, but in Iraq. A measure of restraint by the Syrians in Khimki appointed a deposit that Samara's characteristics of the family paid.

On October 14, the Federal Migration Service in the Moscow Region FMS refused the Hassan family in the status of refugees , as well as in a temporary shelter. The cause of the officials called the presence of a criminal case against the Syrians.

On November 19, as TASS reported , the Khimkinsky City Court condemned Hassan and Gulistan to fines of 5 thousand rubles. The couple did not admit their guilt.

After the sentence, the Syrians were sent to the Center for temporary accommodation in the Tver region.
