The money stolen from the Russian budget with the defendants in Magnitsky’s case, in May 2008, were transferred to the offshore company International Media Overseas, whose single -sized owner was the cellist Sergei Roldugin, a friend of Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, Delco and the companies associated with it are allegedly part of the Proxy Platform. Under this name is a large network of offshore firms created by representatives of organized crime for theft or money laundering, tax evasion and paying bribes. Firms participating in Proxy Platform and bank accounts used by it are registered in Russia, Britain, Moldova, Latvia and offshore jurisdictions. The wiring through this network, the OCCRP claims, was made by both numerous gangs and the Russian government.

Part of the money stolen by the defendants in the Magnitsky list, at the beginning of 2008, was brought to the fictitious Moldavian firms of Elenast-Com and Bunicon-IMPEX, the investigation said. In February 2008, both companies transferred the funds received in Vanterey Union, registered in the British Virgin Islands. Vanterey Union sent this money to the British Roberta Transit, and she, in turn, sent it along with the arrivals from other companies in Delco. The total amount of money received at this time from Roberta Transit Delco amounted to $ 2 million. All payments were made quickly - the money in Delco was transferred until the end of February.

As expected, from the funds received at that time, this corporation paid a few months later with Roldugin for Rosneft shares.

The investigation also notes that the translations in Roberta Transit made not only Vanterey Union, but also three other companies involved in Magnitsky: Protectron Company, Wagnest and Zarina Group. At the same time, Zarina also received money from two fictitious Moldovan firms in February 2008.

As follows from the documents of the Panama archive, the first of which were published in early April, Roldugin owns several offshore firms with multi -billionth circulation due to financial fraud. It was also noted that these firms were withdrawn the funds of Russian companies, in particular Severstal, and the Russian commercial bank provided Roldugin’s structures with an unprocessed loan of $ 650 million.

Meanwhile, Putin said on April 7 that he was proud of friendship with Roldugin . According to the head of state, his friend is trying to engage in business but does not have billions of income. “He is a minority shareholder in one of our companies and there earns some money, but this, of course, is not billions of dollars,” Putin assured.

On April 14, during a direct line, Putin confirmed the reliability of information from the Panama archive. However, the head of state added, nowhere in these documents it is said that he personally is related to funds in offshore.

Meanwhile, the US Ministry of Justice last week began an investigation on the facts of tax evasion recorded in Panama documents. A few days later it turned out that during a search in the Panama Law Firm, Mossack Fonseca, whose abducted papers made up the Panama archive,10 bags of papers destroyed in the schedule were discovered .

Magnitsky, lawyer of the British Foundation Hermitage Capital, in 2008 opened the theft of budget funds in the amount of 5.4 billion rubles. After that, he was arrested on charges of tax evasion. On November 16, 2009, a few days before the expiration of the maximum under the annual period of detention, 37-year-old Magnitsky died in the metropolitan pre-trial detention center-1 "Sailor Silence" under unclear circumstances.
