
The Ukrainian prisoner of war, Nadezhda Savchenko, fills the papers necessary for her extradition to his homeland. This was reported by TSN with reference to the sister of the pilot Vera Savchenko, who again visited the prisoner in jail. The prisoner was given by the head of the SIZO-3 in Novocherkassk Alexander Kolganov.
Savchenko, however, fears, the sister continued that in reality these documents will not be used to issue it to their homeland, but to transfer to the colony. At the beginning of the trial, the pilot was already deceived with the filling of papers, Vera Savchenko recalled.
The sister also announced the improvement of the prisoner’s well -being, which last week at the request of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko removed a dry hunger strike . The pilot is already able to eat ordinary food. At the same time, Savchenko continues to swell his legs due to kidney dysfunction.
Meanwhile, the pilot’s lawyer Mark Feigin confirmed RIA Novosti that the papers received by Savchenko are really necessary to issue it to Ukraine. Recalling that the prisoner handed him an application for extradition, he noticed that according to the procedure, after that she had to be handed to fill out the paper that trigger extradition.
“I believe that yes - the procedure has begun,” Feigin concluded. “But you need to understand that it is not bouncing and can take from a month to two.”
On April 20, the Ministry of Justice of Russia said that he received a request from the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to provide documents necessary for the issuance of Savchenko to his homeland. The terms for consideration of such requests are not regulated by an international treaty, officials noted. The very issue of Savchenko’s extradition, added to the Ministry of Justice, will, in accordance with the norms of the Convention on the transfer of convicted persons, be decided by the court.
On the evening of April 18, President Poroshenko, in a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, called on the interlocutor to immediately release Savchenko . The heads of state also affected the fate of the special forces of the Russian GRU Evgeny Erofeev and Alexander Alexandrov, earlier on Monday convicted in Ukraine by 14 years of colony on charges of armed aggression and terrorism.
On April 19, Poroshenko said that during the past conversation, he agreed with Putin the algorithm for the liberation of Savchenko .
