The developer of the Dubki park, Larus Capital LLC, filed a claim for damages in the amount of more than half a million rubles from two picketers who allegedly blocked the entrance of equipment to the construction site. This was reported by the Russian Agency for Legal and Judicial Information (RAPSI) with reference to the press service of the developer.
Larus Capital LLC demands to recover 525,829 rubles of alleged damage from two people - the head of the Save the Dubki! initiative group, Yabloko party candidate Yulia Galyamina and Pavel Chugunov, a member of the same group.
According to the complainant, “on April 8, Galyamina got into a car parked near the construction site and allegedly deliberately collided with another car, as a result of which trucks with construction materials were blocked.”
In a commentary for Novaya Gazeta, Yulia Galyamina explains : “On the day when the clashes occurred, the developer did not have the necessary design and estimate documentation in order to carry out construction work. They refused to show them to the municipal deputies who were present on the spot.”
A spokeswoman for the Koptevsky District Court told RAPSI that the lawsuit against Galyamina and Chugunov was left without progress until May 19 in order to eliminate the applicant's shortcomings.
On April 8, a mass event was held in the Dubki park, during which its participants expressed their disagreement with the actions of the developer, employees of the private security company and the police. It was on this day that several activists were detained , including Yulia Galyamina and Pavel Chugunov.
