Claas can receive 20 billion rubles of state support over 10 years

The Claas company (which produces combine harvesters and tractors in the Krasnodar Territory) can receive 20 billion rubles. state support for 10 years, Kommersant reports.

A meeting of the interdepartmental commission (IMC) is scheduled for April 29 on the issue of concluding a special investment contract (SPIC) with the company. According to the publication, over 10 years the company will have to invest 800 million rubles in its development. At the same time, Claas will have access to government support, the volume of which could reach 20 billion rubles.

The company promises by 2026. achieve localization of production of reapers 20%, combines - more than 50%. Unlike foreign competitors, Claas will not have requirements for mandatory technical operations; it also has the right to perform them not itself, but with the involvement of EAEU manufacturers.

The SPIC also contains the obligations of the state, including the admission of Claas to state subsidies. Now the Russian Federation compensates manufacturers 25-30% of the price of sold agricultural machinery, which is a significant barrier to imports or products assembled (but not sufficiently localized) in the Russian Federation. Claas equipment is not eligible for support due to a lack of necessary operations (although the company announced 50% localization in 2015).

In 2015 CLAAS LLC (part of the CLAAS group of companies) launched the second assembly line for combine harvesters in Krasnodar. The implementation of the project made it possible to increase the plant's capacity by 2 times. The company invested about 7 billion rubles in the construction, which has been underway since 2013.

CLAAS (headquartered in Harsewinkel, Germany) was founded in 1913. According to the group's own data, it is currently one of the world's leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment. The group employs about 11 thousand employees worldwide. Its turnover in 2013 amounted to 3.8 billion euros.
