The White House will be surrounded by a higher fence

The US Secret Service is going to build a taller fence around the White House. This is stated in the report, a copy of which was received by NBC journalists.

It is planned to almost double the height of the fence - from 1.8 meters to about 3.5 meters. In addition, a more massive concrete base must be built.

A Secret Service spokesman said the current fence "simply doesn't live up to modern standards." A meeting of the planning commission is scheduled for May 5, without whose approval the work cannot be started.
