The Egyptian airline Egyptair launched the sale of tickets from Cairo to Moscow since November 12, 2016. This is evidenced by these reservation systems on the airline’s website .
We are talking about the flight of the Cairo International Airport - "Domodedovo". The cost of a ticket today is about 28.3 thousand rubles, RIA Novosti reports.
The sale of tickets is carried out, despite the current formal ban on air travel between Egypt and Moscow. Recall that Russia interrupted the air traffic with Egypt on November 6, 2015, a week and a half before Moscow recognized the crash of the Kogalymavia aircraft on the Sinai Peninsula that happened on October 31. Then, as a result of the explosion of a bomb carried on board the liner with a terrorist, 224 people were killed.
After the terrorist attack of the Egypt, they took a number of measures to restore trust in the country and the revival of tourism, which is a key industry for Egypt. In connection with the measures taken, optimistic forecasts were made regarding the possible resumption of air traffic, but so far this has not happened.
On March 25, it became known about the theft of the passenger aircraft of the Agyptair airline one of the passengers. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, the attacker surrendered to the authorities, but the specialists in the tourist vest noted that the incident would probably remote the moment of resuming the air traffic with Egypt.
In April, during a direct line, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Türkiye and Egypt are still dangerous for Russians. At the same time, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation later once again expressed the hope that flights to Egypt would resume before the end of this year.
