- On the second floor, but a kopeck - imagine? Well, the second is not the fifth. Yes, in the New Oskol, - Ustin Pavlovich almost cries into the telephone tube. - Shop, pharmacy - all nearby. There is hot water! I can swim.

Six months of correspondence with officials of different ranks, telephone conversations. And now - a happy result.

In October last year, the editorial office of Novaya Gazeta from Ustin Pavlovich came a letter: he said that he lives on an abandoned Kolodeznaya farm, 146 kilometers from Belgorod, that his house is a rotten hut without convenience and hot water, and that the new housing of the Belgorod officials refused to give, since the area of ​​the front -line soldier is 48M2, that is, more than more than supposed to one person according to municipal standards.

“It turns out that the spacious hut is the main thing, and the fact that it is about to fall apart, and that there are no neighbors on the left or on the right-it doesn’t matter,” wrote the 89-year-old veteran. - I would really like, in old age, to wash in hot water. Yes, apparently, I, who received a contusion from the Reichstag, did not deserve the right to it. And okay, hot water. The real misfortune is that the farm has almost died out. There is no store, nor a first -aid post, or even a pharmacy. ”

The correspondent of Novaya Gazeta went to Kolodezny and was convinced - it was impossible to live in the house of Ustin Pavlovich (“I would really like, in my old age, to wash in hot water”, No. 119 of October 28, 2015). The editors sent a letter asking for a front -line soldier to new housing to the Russian government. And a month later, the housing commission under the administration of the Novooskolsky district recognized Ustin Pavlovich’s house unsuitable for living. In mid -December, a letter came from the Ministry of Construction of Russia to the veteran stating that it would be provided with housing in priority.

It remained only to allocate money. In the budget of the Belgorod region, they were not there, so the amount - 1 million 95 thousand rubles - were allocated from the federal budget. Coordination went until April 22, when the amount was finally transferred to the veteran account. And on April 28, Ustin Pavlovich received a certificate of ownership of a new apartment.

- And most importantly, you know, there are people there, neighbors. There is someone to talk with, ”says the veteran. - Thank you.
