Rosstat: pensions in March decreased by 4.3%

The real size of pensions in Russia in March decreased by 4.3% in annual terms, according to the report of Rosstat. According to the results of the first quarter of 2016, this figure decreased by 2.9%, TASS reports .

At the same time, the average size of pensions in March, on the contrary, increased by 2.7%. The average pension this month was 12,397 rubles. The growth of the average pension for the quarter amounted to 5.3%, the amount of the average pension for the quarter is 12,203 rubles.

In addition, the real incomes of Russians also decreased - by 1.8% in March and by 3.9% for the entire first quarter of 2016. As with pensions, average per capita income increased relative to the same period in 2015. Income increased by 4.5% - up to 28.8 thousand rubles.

On Thursday, April 28, the Ministry of Finance prepared a draft pension reform. It involves raising the retirement age and abolishing payments to working pensioners.
