On April 30, a concert in Smolensk will take place, then the orchestra will go to Bryansk, where he will be performed by the young conductor Zaurbek Gugkaev, and Valery Gergiev will go to Moscow, where the international competition of young pianists Grand Piano Competition will take part in a concert.
On May 1, the orchestra, under the direction of Valery Gergiev, will first perform in Vladimir, and then in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory at the opening of the XV Moscow Easter Festival . In the concert program, fragments of music for Prokofiev’s ballet “Cinderella”, the third piano concert of Rachmaninov (soloist-Daniil Typhon), “Three Miracles” from the opera of the Rimsky-Korsakov “Tale of King Saltan” and Rakhmaninov’s symphonic dances.
Also in the tour of the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Votkinsk, Izhevsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Krasnodar, Vladikavkaz, Astrakhan and Saransk.
The musicians hit the road on a special train of the Moscow Easter Festival. The train includes 14 wagons: 8 wagons for musicians, a headquarters car, a car for journalists, 2 wagon-restaurants, a wagon-fool and a luggage car for instruments.
