Activist detained near an animal shelter in Moscow

Activist Andrei Belichenko was detained near the Eco Veshnyaki shelter in Moscow. The activist was detained by police officers who are in the building and are checking on the facts of the discovered animal corpses. Belichenko was taken to the Veshnyaki police station. What he is accused of is not yet clear.

upd. The detained activist was released from the police department without charge. Andrei Belichenko informed OVD-Info about this by phone.

As the press reported, on April 28, dozens of deceased animals were found in the shelter. The police department spoke about 41 corpses.
