In Sochi, police dispersed a picket of residents and detained an assistant to a State Duma deputy

On April 29, police officers dispersed a picket of residents of the Lazarevsky district of Sochi protesting against the closure of a pedestrian crossing leading to the sea. During the rally, an assistant to a State Duma deputy Alexei Goryachkin was detained. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".

As Elena Nikitina, a resident of Sochi, told the publication, the action against the closure of the pedestrian crossing, due to which people lost the opportunity to have access to the sea, began at 8 o'clock in the morning. About 100 people came to it.

“But then the police, employees of the mayor’s office came over, and people began to be forcefully removed from the scene,” said Elena Nikitina.

According to Goryachkin, "the police began to beat people, and many went to the hospital to film the beatings."

Goryachkin was detained at about 10 am. According to him, a protocol is being drawn up against him under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer), the "Caucasian Knot" reports.

“They are going to take me to the world court. State Duma deputy Sergei Obukhov, whose assistant I am, has been notified,” said Alexei Goryachkin.
