The head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties on the territory of Syria, Lieutenant General Sergei Kuralenko on Sunday stated that the "Silence regime" in a number of Raines of Syria is now being observed and it was decided to extend it. In addition, negotiations are underway about its distribution to the province of Aleppo, where, as a result of shelling and bombing, civilians die daily.
This regime was introduced from April 30 to 72 hours in the northern regions of Latakia Province and 24 hours in the suburban district of Damascus East Guta, the general recalled. At the same time, Kuralenko noted that, in agreement with the Syrian authorities and the USA, the “Silence Region” in the suburbs of Damascus - Eastern Gotta - was extended for another day, until 24:00 on May 1, Interfax reports.
According to Reuters, the Syrian army confirmed information about the extension of the "silence regime" in the Damascus area for another 24 hours.

"Currently, there is an active negotiation work on establishing a regime of silence and in the province of Aleppo," Kuralenko told reporters on the basis of Khmeimim.

Recall, in the report of the Syrian Council for Human Rights, published on April 30, it was said that over the past 48 hours, air strikes in the Aleppo area took the lives of 44 civilians, including 10 children. The report does not indicate whose aircraft struck, but it is specified that civilians died, in particular, during attacks on bomb manufacturing workshops controlled by the Islamic State (IG, forbidden in the Russian Federation). A week before last, Syrian aviation was accused of the deaths of dozens of civilians in Aleppo strikes and the environs of Damascus
The city of Aleppo and the province of the same name are divided in two: the West is under the supervision of government forces, and the east is under the control of the opposition and extremists from the "Ang Nusra" (grouping is prohibited in the Russian Federation).
Currently, two centers are monitored by the regime of termination of hostilities in Syria - the Russian on the basis of Khmeimim, and the American - in Amman (Jordan). These centers receive information about violations of the cessation of hostilities.
In Baghdad, an information center was created to coordinate the fight against IS. Russia, Iraq, Iran and Syria take part in his work.
Russian combat aircraft and helicopters are based at the Khmeimim airfield in the Syrian province of Latakia. According to Western media, Russian helicopters are also located at al-Shayrat air bases (near the city of Homs) and Al-Tais (near Palmyra). Russian combat aviation supports ground operations of the Syrian army.
