The debate about what science is and when, how, where and why it arose has been going on for a long time and is unlikely to end in the foreseeable future. No matter how you look at these discussions, one cannot help but admit that the institutionalization of science, which ensured its continuous and progressive development up to the present day, actually took place in the middle of the named era, that is, in the 17th century. The emergence of this institutionalization is usually called the Scientific Revolution.
