Yes, all this can end tomorrow, maybe - in a year or ten, in twenty years, but today we cannot say exactly when this will end. We must proceed from the fact that this regime is much more stable than many would like to think.

- You said earlier that Vladimir Putin is a kind of conductor, and not the driver of the current system , that he is a convenient figure for everyone, and if he stops arranging his puppeteers, they will throw it to a landfill and change it to another figure. And who are these puppeteers? Is their names their names unequivocally not clear up for so many years? I do not believe that, with their hierarchy and a system of values, it can be a secret circle of equal persons, "knights of the round table" on the contrary, and not one "omnipotent khan, which is worse than all the others." All such a khan is just the president.

- The name is legion. I would bring another analogy. Putin is not a conductor in this bus - he is rather a train driver who travels along the rails. But who paves these rails is different a question! Indeed, Putin today is not an absolute leader who makes decisions. He is a symbol of the regime and its moderator. But the most important mission of the President of Russia is the personification of this regime. He is the figure that can be accepted by the Russian population and Russian elites. Moreover, the most different, up to the cultural elites a la Roldugin, Gergiev and the company. Among them there are really talented people, but often they are impostors and added. Nevertheless, he suits both part of the intelligentsia and a huge part of those who are called the budget class, "new serfs", as I call them. It can be soft today, tomorrow is strict, the day after tomorrow you can draw a "hawk" on it, then it can become a "pigeon". Unfortunately, this is a completely new political phenomenon in world space, it is a postmodern policy of the Internet, mass media, television, era when a person wants to see a king over himself, which corresponds to his state of mind. The new class of serfs - that is, people who receive their miserable rent from the opportunities that Russian minerals give today.

- On May 4 , information appeared about the assignment of the title of Hero of Russia by several Russian military . There is a feeling that Putin has already handed these stars to the left and right. This means that he relies primarily on the military?

- No, it's wrong. These stars are tsatski, no one seriously perceives them. These are all myths of Russian mass consciousness - a hero, general ... This is all a game! Because we are talking about huge power, financial, material resources that these people have. And this is just a badge, that someone was hanged by some kind of gold star and he received the right to buy a loaf of bread or received a million rubles as a prize in his own expense in Sberbank, does not mean anything. In fact, we are dealing with new feudal lords that have tremendous opportunities, tremendous authority and resources. And this is a show to just take a bored population. As in North Korea - they have nowhere to hang the same stars there, they are already hanging on their pants. Or as in the time of Brezhnev.

-And Putin sees competitors in someone? I heard, for example, about his jealousy in relation to the Minister of Defense Shoigu. Or is it a myth too?

- I am a serious political scientist and do not use rumors. We are now seeing physiological processes! The world suddenly began to look: "What is happening there, in Moscow?" After Crimea, after the Ukrainian adventure. "Ah, mafia! Ah, offshore!" It is clear that the mafia and offshores, and that everyone was known from the very beginning, that the bandit 90s laid out an imprint on the Russian state system and that Putin is from the 90s. But talking about the "Tambov" at the top is quite funny. Because I personally watched this a lot, being a journalist, a criminal investigator, when in the 90s he kept a criminal analytical program daily. I saw all this, I know both Kumarin and Malyshev, came across them, they took a great part in the life of St. Petersburg and in the life of the country. So, to say that Putin is a protege of the mafia is wrong! The mafia is just one of the mechanisms of Russian society and economics management. Which is inherent in the national spirit, which absolutely denies the laws and orders. There is only one law - this is the law of money, the law of currency. There is money - good, there is no money - you are nobody. And in order to suppress someone, scare, for this there are special services, official and unofficial.

We see that in Spain in this matter - not only Russians, but also the Spaniards, and if you dig there, I think there are many more who get out there. So it's not so simple. This is a reflection of its population - and the worst part, those who live not according to the laws of labor and capital, honor, morality, but according to the law "I am a boss and I have money." Power and money in Russia are inseparable. And if there is money, then we must protect it. And they do not know how to protect through normal institutions. The mafia is an institution that somehow allows you to act in this field with illegal methods.

- And all Russian business is looking at the situation today as you described it? And can it be expected that the business will get into a powerful opposition to Putin? After all, sanctions are connected by companies on hand and foot, businessmen are afraid to become unaware in the USA and Europe, they are afraid to work in annexed Crimea, for example.

This is a new horde with the "Byzantine appearance". Another thing is that these laws do not coincide with those laws that are adopted in the civilized world. And when we see the war in Georgia out of the blue and think why this adventure was needed; When we see the capture of the Crimea and think about why it was necessary to capture the depressive region, where it was much cheaper to ride on guides - we do not understand why Putin does it. And because it is so necessary according to the logic of the Tarushas, according to the logic of the Horde, according to the logic of Byzantium.

But the situation so far looks so that the civilized world needs to very clearly dig a moat (which is happening now), between those who are ready to live according to the laws, and those who are ready to live according to concepts. Russia lives on concepts - both in the international and internal plan. And wait from the business that someone will sacrifice Putin for the sake of the Schengen visa ... Oh, no! Having sacrificed Putin, they will sacrifice everything, because their business will be impossible further. Without Putin, without a "Putinism system" today to do business in Russia - according to the patterns on which this business is done - is impossible. Always such regimes collapse not because of the internal opposition, but because of the exhaustion of their existential essence. So far this essence is not exhausted! So far there are state employees, while there is a system of education (which does not teach) and the healthcare system (which does not heal), the police system (which does not protect), the system of combating drugs that does not protect the nation from crimes and diseases, all this will continue under these conditions of new serfdom, ”said Dmitry Zapolsky .
