Investigators are conducting an investigation into the death of a contract serviceman in the military unit of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the closed administrative-territorial formation of Ozersk, reports . Interfax

“According to preliminary information, a contract soldier [Roskomnadzor] was with him on Thursday night in the military unit of Ozersk,” the press service of the Ural Regional Command of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the agency.

As Alexey Kovalev, a [Roskomnadzor] employee, told the Ural-Press-Inform publication, a lawyer for the human rights organization “Legal Awareness,” he carried his service weapon when he was on guard duty. The reason [Roskomnadzor] could be the young man’s chronic depression.

“This is the third case of suicide of warrant officers in the Chelyabinsk region that has become public knowledge since the beginning of 2016,” Kovalev noted.

Before that [Roskomnadzor] was an ensign of the FSB from the border department in the Chelyabinsk region and an ensign from a military unit in the Chebarkul region. In addition, two more conscripts from the Chelyabinsk region committed [Roskomnadzor] while serving outside the region.
