Novosibirsk met on May 9 under the sensitive gaze of Joseph Stalin. On the eve of Victory Day on the central streets of the city, posters with the image of the "leader of the peoples" were hung. The local branch of the Communist Party in this way decided to congratulate the veterans and remind everyone of the role of Stalin in the Great Patriotic War. Not all participants in the Victory Parade were embarrassed by the portraits of Stalin. Many found the appearance of his image on city streets quite appropriate on this day.
