Voronezh activist, member of the Democratic Union Dmitry Vorobyovsky is still in a psychiatric hospital where he was placed on May 6. According to lawyer Olga Gnezdilova, the hospitalization of the activist was illegal, he was sent to the hospital without a court decision. Only on May 10 will the court set the date of hearings on the situation of Vorobyovsky, despite the fact that the activist had to be released from the hospital on Sunday, when 48 hours were expired from the date of his detention. The comrades -in -arms of Dmitry Vorobyovsky call his hospitalization “abduction” and consider this a return to the methods of “punitive psychiatry”.
The 52-year-old Voronezh activist and blogger Dmitry Vorobevsky, according to his associates, is one of the permanent participants in pickets and rallies in recent years. Vorobevsky’s street goes, as a rule, with the same poster on which it is written: “Putin and his Gabistic brigade - Down with it!”. The fact that the activist was taken to a psychiatric hospital became known on the evening of May 6. According to the lawyer Olga Gnezdilova, the ambulance fraudulently entered the activist’s house, the doctors did not appreciate his condition and took Vorobevsky, despite the protests of his sister who was in the apartment. Olga Gnezdilova visited him in the hospital on May 8. According to her, there the activist was tied to the bed and given unknown medications.
Olga Gnezdilova
“Dmitry Vorobevsky was detained on May 6 at 5 pm,” says Olga Gnezdilova . - The ambulance psychiatric help came to his house. Who called her is unknown, these are definitely not relatives or neighbors. The hospital also refused to report this information. At first they introduced themselves to the employees of Gorgaz, then they penetrated the apartment, tied him up and took him to the city psychiatric hospital in the village of Shaven. There he was attached to the bed, fixed, that is, his arms and legs tied him, despite the fact that he was not violent and did not resist. So he spent three hours. He was pricked with drugs that he did not know, he was not informed of their name. Now he feels normally. He said he wanted to get home. Only on May 10 will a statement of the hospital and his involuntary hospitalization be considered in the court. Now he is in the hospital without a court decision, despite the fact that more than 48 hours according to the human constitution cannot be kept without a court decision. Apparently, he was taken to the holidays so that in these three days we could not do anything. We went to the prosecutor on duty. He accepted the statement, but said that on weekends no one would deal with this issue.

-Dmitry himself, do you have any assumptions, some ideas, what can it be connected with at all?
- He is a very active participant in pickets. He constantly stands with the same poster. Repeatedly taken him away from him. Nevertheless, he painted him again. In the 80s, he refused to call on convictions, but, in principle, he is registered in the dispensary. And on this basis, the doctors said that since he has a diagnosis, we conclude that he has an exacerbation stage and you can keep it forcibly. Although we sat for 20 minutes yesterday, absolutely adequate related speech, he has no aggression and never had it at all. "Stage of exacerbation", in my opinion, is not entirely justified conclusion. I think that this happens in connection with the upcoming elections. Now there are a lot of detentions, trying to reduce the activity of people. Since he regularly participates in some opposition pickets, he can most likely be isolated, we assume that before the election.
-I understand correctly that in his case someone called "ambulance psychiatric help and he was just taken away without any suspicion, without any initiation of the case?
-The procedure is this: someone is calling an ambulance. The ambulance comes. Then they must assess the state of a person. But now they entered his apartment fraudulently, introducing themselves to the employees of Gorgaz, and he was immediately taken away. They did not interview the neighbors, did not find out to whom he was bothering. The sister was categorically against being taken away. She said that everything was in order with him. She can confirm this. And already in the hospital, the doctors in the reception department, apparently, made the conclusion that he had to be left here. After all, they could not even accept him on an ambulance. If he refuses hospitalization, they could conclude that it is not necessary to do this. Nevertheless, they hospitalized him. And due to the fact that there were holidays, even we really can not see the documents, nothing.
They entered his apartment fraudulently, introducing themselves to the employees of Gorgaz, and they immediately took him away. They did not interview the neighbors, did not find out who he was boring
- How typical is this story now to eliminate unwanted activists?
- This is a rare story, because here the psychiatric hospital is involved. There were very common cases when, before some holidays, activists are detained and, for example, for a day they put them in the police on some administrative charges, which then falls apart, but the person was isolated at that time. Of course, with a psychiatric hospital is something new. But we hope that it will still be possible by attracting both experts and lawyers to resolve this situation.
According to Olga Gnezdilova, on May 10, the court must appoint a meeting at which the petition of representatives of the psychiatric hospital will be examined for the forced hospitalization of Dmitry Vorobevsky.
Sister Dmitry Vorobevsky Lydia talks about how his brother was taken to the hospital. She believes that in the medical institution Dmitry Vorobevsky announced a hunger strike.
The Voronezh activist, the coordinator of the environmental movement "In defense of the Hopra" Konstantin Rubakhin , forced to leave Russia several years ago, says: he met Dmitry Vorobevsky during one of the "Hopra" defense in 2012. According to Rubakhin, the activist’s premises in a psychiatric hospital are a way to compromise a person who is strictly defending his civic position:
Konstantin Rubakhin
- Obviously, this was done at the command of law enforcement agencies, it is not clear, however, which FSB or Center "E". It is annoying that experts do not comply with the hippocratic oath, medical ethics and are directly subordinate to the "ghouls" who command: take, detain or forcibly deliver to the hospital of a particular person. The most important thing here is that when we start talking - no, it is normal! - We begin to play on their hands. Because just his condition - neurotic, psychological - should be absolutely outside the discourse. This is an absolutely normal adequate person. You see, I myself am leading to this situation when we begin to say that, yes, it is adequate. This is the most unpleasant thing that the detention of psychiatric help is simply one of the tools for compromising a person, that, they say, this is not his civil position, but he is just such a fool. We are forced to work, speak and act in such conditions when we have to make excuses for nothing.
- Do you know Dmitry? How much was he a noticeable activist?
If for Russia a tough civil position is now inadequate, then, probably, a psychiatric hospital is crying for all for us
- Yes, he was a regular participant in protest events. I met him at a rally in defense of the Hopra , which we organized in the summer of 2012. He was just with this poster - "Down with Putin and the Gabist Brigade." Of course, in our movement there are opposite views on power, we have an environmental movement. But we did not see any contradictions with our position. Therefore, he quite stood the whole rally with this poster. And then he appeared on the pickets that eco -activists throughout Voronezh. He adequately communicates, a normal and persistent comrade. In principle, if Russia is now inadequate for Russia, a tough civil position, then, probably, a psychiatric hospital is crying for all for us.

- I understand correctly that he went to almost all shares with only one poster and defended this position?
- Yes, I saw him only with this poster. And I believe that the poster is quite appropriate. Because, in principle, what we are now observing is the usurpation of power from the special services. Both in business, immigrants and contactors with the KGB became the most successful, and the same people rule in power. This is a key requirement on this poster and, probably, the most painful for the authorities, since it reacts so insanely on its part.
- This is probably the first such clear case when a person is trying to eliminate from civil activity in this way. How single this story will be? Or can you expect these more?
The accusation of madness usually we hear just from the madmen
- The accusation of madness usually we hear just from the madmen. Here, the authorities simply diagnose itself that it is already going beyond the line of madness and begins to blame people with a civil position of the same. Perhaps this tool will be used if it "rents". For example, how a bribe provocation is used. Previously, commercial affairs were aroused against activists to compromise them, so that it was not a political matter. Punitive psychiatry, in fact, cannot be not a political matter. If noise rises, then most likely they will change their minds and will no longer do such nonsense. But such detentions allow doctors to give a person psychotropic drugs. And we have quite such drugs, one tablet of which can make a person a madman at least for a while. This can be equated with torture. This is the worst. Therefore, a noise is needed here so that this is just no longer repeated.
- What do you think, how can the situation with Dmitry be resolved? Olga Gnezdilova believes that until September he will be held there, before the election.
- The task of civil society and the media is now to actively cover this situation, to show this person if possible, to talk about it. The most important thing is to observe and interfere with these traitors to make a psycho from him for real. Because, as I said, psychotropic drugs can be made from any absolutely adequate person who you want, ”concludes Konstantin Rubakhin.
The associates of Dmitry Vorobyovsky call his forced hospitalization "abduction" and associate this with his political activity. In addition to regular participation in shares, the 52-year-old activist issues an unregistered newspaper called Kramol.
