Defenders of the park near Kronstadt Boulevard reported the beating of an elderly local resident by supporters of the construction of the temple. This is stated in the activist group “Defense of Golovino”.
According to activists, a 65-year-old local resident was injured when she came out to hear the noise of the equipment at 4 a.m. on May 10.
“An unknown man attacked her, grabbed her behind her back, and knocked out her phone, which was apparently stolen later - it could not be found. Residents who arrived in time tried to find out what was happening and in response they heard that another resident’s phone would also be taken away and thrown away. All this happened in the presence of police captain Alexander Vyacheslavovich Bershin,” the park’s defenders said in a statement.
After this, local residents went to write a statement to the Golovinsky district police department, but near the police building the injured woman began to feel ill with her heart. The ambulance that arrived gave her first aid and did not hospitalize her.
In addition, activists report that the equipment that the 65-year-old woman came out to remove unloaded and installed a fence, as well as a “prefabricated temple” and other construction materials. According to park defenders, the temple has already begun to be assembled.
As noted in the message of the group “Defense of Golovino”, the equipment was accompanied by activists of the “Forty Forties” movement. It is also reported that in the fenced area there is a military vehicle “with the license plates covered with rags, the last piece of the license plate “50” is visible on a black background.” There are people in uniform standing nearby and a field kitchen has been deployed.
“People have appeared in the park, singing chants, and clergy have arrived,” notes a group of park defenders.
