The Budweiser beer brand will be renamed America during the US election campaign. It is reported by Co.Design.
The redesigned jars and bottles will be on sale until the November 2016 election. Previously, as the newspaper notes, such actions took place only in the summer - in particular, images of the American flag and the Statue of Liberty appeared on the packaging of Budweiser.
As noted by Co.Design, not only the brand name was changed on the packaging, but also other inscriptions. For example, the slogan King of Beers (“King of beer”) was replaced by the Latin phrase E Pluribus Unim (“Out of many, one”), placed on the Great Seal of the United States, and the name of the beer company Anheuser-Busch, Inc. - on Liberty & Justice For All ("Freedom and justice for all"), a quote from the oath of allegiance to the American flag.
"We thought there was nothing more iconic and recognizable than Budweiser and America," says Tosh Hall, Creative Director at JKR.
