Two participants of the dispersed Cossack rally in Simferopol were fined 20,000 rubles. This is reported by the publication "Arguments of the Week Crimea".
Ilya Bolshedvorov and Aleksey Akimov were brought to administrative responsibility. Apparently, protocols were drawn up against them on violation of the procedure for holding public events (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
A rally in defense of the private Crimean Cossack Cadet Corps, which they are trying to close, was scheduled for May 6, but local authorities refused to agree on the pretext that some other event should be held opposite the monument to St. Luke, where they were going to hold it. Representatives of the Cossacks came to the place and, finding that no event was taking place there, they decided to hold their own rally. The police detained several people, and one of the participants was tied up by four officers and handcuffed.
